_______________
Many observers of the past two decades of covert aerosol geoengineering adopted the term “chemtrails” to describe unnatural emissions and trails originating from military jet engines.  If the term Chemtrails originated at the DoD we could suspect the term came into wide civilian use when a cadet or instructor repeated it so often that “Chemtrails” was adopted by civilian observers to describe unusual jet aircraft contrails.  To their credit, the Oxford dictionary provides an accurate description of chemtrails even if they failed to list the US DoD as the original published source.
Oxford Dictionary Defines “Chemtrail”
chemtrail – Syllabification: (chem·trail) – Pronunciation: /ˈkemˌtrāl/
Definition of chemtrail  noun
” a visible trail left in the sky by an aircraft and believed by some to consist of chemical or biological agents released as part of a covert operation. “
Origin:  1990s: blend of chemical and trail, on the pattern of contrail (Source)
In etymological terms, the origin of a word is very important.   Regardless the intended definition, history clearly shows the term “Chemtrails” originated at the US Department of Defense as the title for a Chemistry manual used at the Air Force Academy cadet training program in the early 1990′s.  Two editions of the “Chemtrails” manual are known to exist – A 200 page version for the 1990 Fall class and a 232 page version for the 1991 class. The course title “chemtrails” was so popular as to be adopted by the DoD for at least two academic years (1990-1991).
About the Chemtrails Manual Cover
  • The Air Force Academy Chemtrails manual cover shows a  flame from a  Bunsen burner that appears to be producing two “trails”.
  • The title of the manual “Chemtrails” is printed between the two “trails”.
  • Considering the intentional graphic depicting “trails” it’s possible the Bunsen burner represents a jet engine producing “chemically” induced, persistent contrails.
  • A Bunsen burner is a common piece of laboratory equipment that produces a single open gas flame  which is used for heating, sterilization, and combustion.
  • A test tube filled with a liquid is emptying contents into a flask.
  • The remaining graphic appears to be a chemical representation for “methane” (CH4).  Since Natural gas contains mostly “methane” it’s possible this symbol alludes to the fuel providing the flame to the Bunsen burner. (Natural Gas)

Method:  An inter-library loan from the Alachua County main library yielded a microfilm copy of the 1990 Chemistry 131 Manual used in training by the US Air force Academy.  The lending institution was the William T. Young Library at the University of Kentucky as shown in the label below.
The microfilm was in acceptable condition, however the 1990 Chemtrails manual was scanned in 1992 under less than optimum conditions from a used hard copy in less than good condition.
The Alachua County Library equipment was used to scan each of the 200 pages to digital *.TIF files.  Photoshop was used to optimize each image to the smallest file size that would permit adequate resolution for on-line viewing.  Each image was imported to a Microsoft Word page where the complete manual was saved to  a 30 MB  PDF file.  (Portable Document File).
NOTE: A second edition of Chemtrails (232 pages) was published for the Fall 1991 class of Air Force cadets.

3D Printed Drones & Guns: Post Scarcity & The World of Tomorrow

Hidden battle lines in the war for global hegemony.

by Tony Cartalucci
Land Destroyer Report

October 4, 2012 - Recently, the Wall Street-London corporate-financier Lowy Institute's "Interpreter" posted an article titled, "Printing a drone" that conveyed the following concerns:
3D printers are both accessible and affordable in Australia. Effectively, this means that an individual or group has the ability – with minimal investment – to avoid the cumbersome task of purchasing expensive overseas technology and instead print their weapon. A 3D printed drone is legal and possible; weaponising it would be a matter of accessing ammunition, something that is currently safeguarded by laws which regulate the sale, possession and use of firearms and munitions in Australia. But what happens when the first 3D printed bullets become available?

Although owning a 3D printer and a domestic drone is not illegal, the combination represents a privacy issue and a security threat both in the domestic domain and in international conflict. I am not advocating for the prohibition of civilian drone use or 3D printing. What I am encouraging is security frameworks that can recognise and respond to the threat resulting from the merging of these two technologies.
These concerns were prompted by the author's discovery of a drone produced by a 3D printer - a printer that prints out actual objects instead of images as traditional printers do. The author was also alarmed by the fact that 3D printers have also been used to print out a "working gun."

Video: A 3D printed drone has the global elite clamoring over the dangers of allowing the masses to possess technical capabilities that have long been monopolized by large multinationals.
....

Image: Parts of this working gun have been "printed" in 3D. What was once the exclusive realm of the military-industrial complex, tilting the balance of power in their favor, may soon become a distributed balance of power that eliminates them all together. Other 3D printed gun stories have been making it into the news recently as well.
....
The fact is that 3D printing has played an increasing role in prototyping and precision manufacturing over the years, and coupled with other forms of computer-controlled manufacturing, form the foundation of modern weapons manufacturing, the aerospace industry, shipbuilding, as well as medical and information technology. As these systems improve and are more widely used, their size, cost, complexity, as well as barriers to accessing them are reduced. Tools that were once exclusively found only in the realm of large multinational corporations can now be found in use amongst increasingly smaller operations, and now, in the hands of individual hobbyists and garage tinkerers.
In reality, Lowy and its impressionable readers' concerns are absurd. In a world where everyone has access to 3D printers, online designs to create virtually anything, including drones, Kalashnikovs, and cruise missiles, and increasingly versatile and abundant materials to manufacture items out of,  everyone will also have the means to present to their neighbors a reasonable deterrence against abusing such technology.
It would be a world where everyone was just as capable of defending themselves as they would be at menacing one another - essentially an unprecedented, distributed balance of power that would form the foundation of a lasting, and realistic peace by pragmatic design, not by laws and ideals. And in this world, where the means of manufacturing virtually anything was in the hands of the masses, the sort of disparity that exists today that inevitably leads to conflicts, exploitation, and abuse of imbalances of power would be reduced if not eliminated.
The real fear that Lowy and the global elite that drive its agenda harbor, is that "the powers that be" today, will be "the powers that were" in a world where an East African was just as capable of building a cruise missile as Raytheon was, and the disparity that grants the global elite of today absolute impunity to roll over the world's population will have been stripped permanently from them.
Post-Scarcity and The World of Tomorrow
But if one can print a gun, one can also print other forms of technology previously only possible for large, precision manufacturing operations. This includes medical instrumentation and devices, systems for power production, transportation, and laboratory equipment of every shape and variety to put the means of research and development into the hands of local communities and individuals.
In a world like this, where the only limitation to solving your problems is your imagination and your will to solve them, where the means to actually produce, tangible, technical solutions are at your very fingertips, would people spend their time producing vast amounts of weapons to menace their neighbors with?
This question is answered by examining just why people menace each other with weapons in the first place. Armed conflict is driven by disparity - either armed resistance by those exploited at the losing end of socioeconomic disparity, or armed oppression carried out by those benefiting from disparity, seeking to perpetuate or expand their disproportionate advantages. In a world where this disparity is reduced by emerging manufacturing technology and material sciences, so too will be the desire and ability for people to engage in conflict.
The cost of this technology is decreasing in both terms of money and resources, as well as accessibility for average people. The costs will continue to decrease as more people become involved and as the capabilities of these 3D printers and other forms of computer-controlled manufacturing improve.
Likewise, the cost and accessibility of material used to manufacture goods with these systems is also dropping. As more people gain access to this technology, more people will begin developing with them better means of recycling spent material and processing new material from a variety of alternative, and more abundant sources.
Rising in tandem with the 3D printing revolution is the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Biology movement, or simply DIYbio. Again, the means of genetically modifying organisms was once in the sole realm of large multinational corporations - corporations like Monsanto, Cargill, and Bayer.
There lies a real risk that the monopoly these large corporations hold over the ability to genetically manipulate life on a global scale can be (and is) abused. While shifting this technology into the hands of the people means that anyone could create and release a deadly biological attack - it also means that anyone (and most) would work together to defend against such abuses. It also strips large multinational corporations of the impunity and intellectual monopoly they now possess over genetic engineering.
It is the dropping costs of lab equipment and increased access to educational resources online that have made the DIYbio revolution possible. Personal manufacturing has also played a role in developing equipment like the OpenPCR and the 3D printed "Dremelfuge," giving us a glimpse into just how profound the impact will be of the personal manufacturing revolution. In turn, DIYbio may yield genetically engineered organisms that turn out materials used for fabrication or fuel sources for powering home generators - illustrating the interchangeable synergies that will increasingly accelerate the pace of this shifting paradigm.
Image: The fruits of post scarcity. From "Caging Humanity: "No more land? Make some more. Commissioned by NASA in the 1970's, conceptual artist Don Davis illustrated a torus-shaped space station that maintains artificial gravity through centripetal force - it was designed by a NASA Ames/Standford University study. While people may be taken by the same Pavlovian giggles that accompanied the scorn of concepts such as a heliocentric planetary system or the idea of manned flight, such space habitats are not only possible, they are inevitable. In space, there's plenty of room to spread out. Human innovation may make compromises necessary in the short-term, but entirely unnecessary in the long-term."
....
The final goal is "post scarcity," an economic paradigm where the ease of producing a physical object matches that of copying a digital file. Achieving such a paradigm requires the sort of  technologically competent citizenry, but in greater numbers, involved in the current 3D printing and DIYbio revolution.
And while this all sounds great, these implications have not escaped the notice of those very few who will lose in a world of distributed, balanced power - where their main point of leverage, scarcity, is eliminated. These few are of course the corporate-financier elite who have wallowed in the disparity they have exploited and indeed, purposefully perpetuated for so long. They are already taking measures to head off a revolution most people have no idea is about to unfold.
Hidden Battle Lines in the True War for Global Hegemony
So how does the global elite go about heading off such a revolution that will not just threaten the source of their seemingly infinite power, but drain it permanently?
The opposite of economic independence is economic interdependence. The opposite of a technically competent, pragmatic citizenry is a politically divided, technically ignorant population. The opposite of a world of decentralized open source collaboration is one of centralized monopolistic proprietary corporations. And it is this very world of "opposites" that is being incrementally built up around us, day by day, hour by hour, permeating every aspect of modern life, with the global elite rushing toward deadlines and supranational infrastructure to cement this paradigm of disparity in place.
The European Union, NAFTA, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) are all interwoven examples of attempts to lock humanity into a system of global economic interdependence, where centralized regulatory bodies can legislate and enforce economic policy benefiting the corporate-financier elite who are building and promoting these very networks.
One concept that permeates these "economic unions" is that of shifting over to "service economies" while industry is monopolized, heavily regulated, and isolated in nations where workers can be closely monitored and work only for monolithic multinational corporations. Western nations, like the United States which possesses both the infrastructure and the human resources to build a society fit for science fiction, is instead suffering under crumbling, outdated infrastructure - its population falling vastly short of its true potential with the average American incapable of understanding, let alone participating in the frontiers of modern science and technology. Despite this, there are still Americans that break this mold, but this is an exception the system is working to extinguish, not expand upon.
It would be difficult to dispute the decline of America as an industrial power, or defend the current state of America's public education. Other Western nation's are equally falling short of their true potential, with increasingly fewer exceptions to spotlight. A system designed for achieving global hegemony would include measures to condition the population to fit within the framework for control. This is being done through a combination of social engineering (and here) and sabotaging what used to be a premier education model.
Another concept that permeates all documentation associated with these "economic unions" is that of "intellectual property," or the ownership of ideas, concepts, processes, and information. With a global economic system dominated by fully functioning enforcement of "intellectual property rights," it would be possible to criminally persecute any and all who attempt to create on their own, business models that "infringed" on existing, dominate business models.
We already see how this system works in regards to media giants sending people to jail for merely sharing digital copies. Called "thieves," these "criminals" are sent to prison, fined, or otherwise penalized not for depriving another of their physical property, but for depriving another of "potential profits." It doesn't take much imagination to see how far this abuse can go. And the concept of intellectual property has been applied beyond music, movies, and software,- it has also been applied to monopolizing life-saving medication and even genomes, the substance of life itself. As 3D printing comes of age, corporations will undoubtedly seek a pretext to curtail, contain, and control the technology, under the guise of protecting national security, intellectual property, and public safety.
An existing analog of this can bee seen arrayed against local agricultural industry. Organic farming, local farmers' markets, and other forms of localized economics have already seen creeping legislation attempt to regulate out of existence the ability for individuals to grow their own food and/or sell it to their neighbors - perpetuating wider public dependence on big-agri monopolies and processed food giants. Similarly, there will be attempts to outlaw the possession of personal manufacturing equipment if the public is unable to quickly shift the paradigm.
And it is here that we find the true battle lines for global hegemony.
We are bombarded daily with false narratives, false struggles, and false political paradigms. The recent US Presidential "debate" is a perfect example of vast numbers of people being misdirected toward debates that don't matter, involving political processes that in reality will change nothing. The US President has long since become nothing more than a PR front for the corporate-financier interests of Wall Street and London. Who occupies the White House is of little consequence beyond which lies will be told to sell a singular, continuous corporate-financier driven agenda.

Image: Elaborate diversions constructed to prevent us from even reaching the real battle lines. Professional spokesmen, representative not of the American people but of Fortune 500 multinational corporations and banks. Since the time of JP Morgan 100 years ago, the corporate-financier elite saw themselves as being above government, and national sovereignty as merely a regulatory obstacle they could lobby, bribe, and manipulate out of existence. In the past 100 years, the monied elite have gone from manipulating the presidency to now reducing the office to a public relations functionary of their collective interests.
....
Likewise, even geopolitical conflicts, wars, and strategic tensions, while life threatening and in certain aspects a matter of survival, take second place to the real battle that is being waged. The real battle being waged is one of a corporate-financier elite attempting to establish and maintain absolute domination over humanity through economic interdependency, social engineering, and other tools of modern empire. Everything else is either a means to achieve this, or a distraction to divert people's time, energy, and resources away from the true battle lines.
As Sun Tzu stated in "The Art of War," "supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." What better way of achieving this than preventing the enemy from ever finding the true battle lines to begin with?
If people are not active locally, developing independent local institutions, self-sufficient infrastructure and independent economic activity, while exposing, boycotting, and replacing the corporate-financier monopolies that dominate the current global order, they are wasting their time. There is no political football that if "kicked" the right way will save us, no candidate that can offer us salvation of any kind, and no solution at all that will ever come out of a ballot box. And while government programs and features of the current system are still necessary for the functioning of civilization, it must be understood that these are but temporary stop-gaps, and that permanent pragmatic solutions must be pursued.
It must be understood that "activism" means "activity," not merely waving placards around and making demands of a system that has no intention to meet them. It must be understood that by "activity," it is meant that technical, "wrench-turning" solutions must be implemented. Organic farming and local farmers' markets are examples of such solutions already being fought for.
Getting involved in personal manufacturing, DIYbio -and in general by being producers rather than needy consumers - is another example. All technology is a double edged sword which can cut both ways. To ensure it cuts the way which benefits humanity the most, it must be humanity that wields it, not a minute, self-serving elite. This reality is especially urgent in terms of biotechnology. So where can one go to get involved?
Enter the Trenches
The trenches can be found all across the United States, and indeed, the world. While the corporate-financiers squatting over America may be purposefully sabotaging the American people, the people themselves still possess a unique drive to innovate and improve the world around them. And because of this, places where 3D printing, DIYbio, and all other forms of localized production, collaboration, and tinkering have sprung up across the nation. The Internet is full of not only resources to find existing "makerspaces" or "hackerspaces," but enough information for individuals, their friends, family, and neighbors to create one of their own.
Hackerspaces.org hosts a map and a list to help people zero in on locations near them. By visiting the websites of existing spaces, one can get a feel of how easy it is to start one of their own. A "makerspace" or "hackerspace" can simply be a room with a table for people to meet, bring their own tools, and collaborate on projects of all kinds. Over time, a collection of tools and equipment can be kept on location and more advanced projects can be pursued.
DIYbio.org likewise lists community labs where basic skills in genetics are taught and projects can be pursued in a safe and well-equipped environment.
There is also a network of "Fabrication Laboratories," or FabLab for short. These are similar to hackerspaces, open to the public, are generally associated with Dr. Neil Gershenfeld's MIT Fab Lab project and are well equipped with somewhat more expensive and capable pieces of manufacturing equipment.
And while it may seem like an insignificant act to gather together and work on small projects, a well developed local "maker" infrastructure can yield big results. More established spaces, like NYC Resistor, have turned out small businesses, or have helped augment existing local businesses.
Regardless, it is essential that we start walking in the right direction, no matter how small the steps may be, regardless of how far in the wrong direction we've gone. Collectively it will make a difference when people begin putting their time, energy, and resources into developing local solutions and becoming independent, technically competent producers rather than needy, hopelessly dependent consumers running forever on the corporate-financiers' "political treadmills."
When we start turning off the "debate" and turning on our soldering irons, our tractor, our power tools, our lathes, mills, 3D printers, and welding torches, we can stop hoping for a better world to be delivered to us tomorrow, and start building one ourselves today.

Dangers - the DARPA Vacuum.
A conscious pragmatic movement, as well informed as it is technically competent, pursuing post-scarcity and the reduction of disparity, elitism, insidiously imposed social engineering, and economic interdependency has little to fear as it moves forward. However, as the paradigm stands now - there lacks any clear vision for the future, or situational awareness of the present.
Makerspaces, hackerspaces, community labs, and open source collaborations of all varieties run the risk of being subtly manipulated, compartmentalized, and tasked for diabolical endeavors the individual participants could hardly fathom. Such a scheme was in fact announced by DARPA in a Wired article titled, "Pentagon's New Factory: Your DNA" which stated:
A recent call for research by the Pentagon’s mad science agency proposes a new program called “Living Foundries.” The idea is to use biology as a manufacturing platform to “enable on-demand production of new and high-value materials, devices and capabilities.”

In other words, let’s engineer life to make stuff we want.
It continues:
To jumpstart the process, Darpa wants to open the playing field to people from outside the biological sciences, recruiting designers, engineers, manufacturers, computer scientists, academics and anyone else who has an idea. By democratizing the biological design and manufacturing process, they hope to speed up the development of a reliable factory for all sorts of kind-of-living things.
Wired, which has increasingly become a clearinghouse for Pentagon propaganda aimed at "geek" culture - and even hosts corporate-financier funded Brookings Institution "fellows" as contributors, attempts to make DARPA's plans sound exciting and fun. In reality, DARPA is assembling an arsenal of  biotechnology constructed of various individual parts contributed by participants who have no idea what they are involved in or the bigger picture they are helping to shape. These will be biotechnological implements only DARPA understands the true configuration and characteristics of, and implements DARPA and its affiliates alone can wield at will.
This DARPA vacuum has been assimilating the best and brightest the world has to offer in a similar manner across many disciplines, assembling a vast wealth of knowledge and technology to be mixed and matched behind the veil of secrecy. It is a good bet that all these technologies are being used for a handful of specific, unknown objectives, and that cover stories provided by publications like Wired are solely for public consumption. The atomic bomb was assembled in a similar compartmentalized fashion, but at a closed-off facility run top-to-bottom by the US Government. In this new model, entire segments of the population are compartmentalized to fulfill certain objectives, with the final product assembled behind closed doors by DARPA scientists.

A documentary covering the Manhattan Project, including the compartmentalized nature of the work. In a similar manner, the collective efforts of compartmentalized participants, unaware of the true nature of the project they are involved in, is being used by DARPA across a wide range of disciplines and is a danger pragmatic movements must be aware of.

....
Being aware of this potential danger is essential. And the sorts of implements DARPA may already either possess or be working on should give the masses added incentive to become actively involved in stripping the technological-intellectual monopolies being cultivated by the global elite. It is important to get involved locally, but be aware of things unfolding globally. We must remember that by getting organized, having an acute situational awareness, and working pragmatically has given the global elite the immense power they now possess. It will take the masses getting organized, having a collective, acute situational awareness, and working pragmatically to take that power back.

Battlefield Illusion: DARPA working towards better “human-sensory battlefield deception”

Madison Ruppert, Contributing Writer
Activist Post

In the Defense Advance Research Project Agency’s (DARPA’s) new budget, which was just recently unveiled, some startling technologies have been included for increased research and development.

The most glaring of these is the $4 million to be spent on technologies which will supposedly “manage the adversary’s sensory perception” in an attempt to “confuse, delay, inhibit, or misdirect [the target’s] actions.”

While the idea is quite creative and seemingly the stuff of science fiction, the name chosen is a bit more straight forward: “Battlefield Illusion.”

In elucidating the goals of the project, DARPA writes, “The current operational art of human-sensory battlefield deception is largely an ad-hoc practice,” leading the agency to attempt to better grasp “how humans use their brains to process sensory inputs,” in order to create multi-sensory hallucinations which could “provide tactical advantage to our forces,” according to Danger Room.

DARPA’s budget request for the Fiscal Year of 2013 includes a whopping $2.82 billion in spending – all of which we don’t have, and thus will just serve to sink the United States further into the black hole of debt – and even includes increased spending on the Collaborative Hypersonic Research (CHR) program which is intended to demonstrate the capability of a boost-glide vehicle as the predecessor to a tactical strike weapon capable of long-range attacks from a 21-inch or larger booster.

The American military establishment’s love affair with so-called “psychotronic weaponry” has been a long and complicated one, largely hidden from public scrutiny.

Some of the most infamous examples of these types of projects are the so-called “Voice of God” weapon, which was designed in an attempt to transmit what might be confused with the voice of God into the heads of insurgents in order to make them choose to lay down arms.

The information on this project has been quite thin, and many claim it never left the laboratory, although the fact that this technology has been in development since the 1990s makes me think that this might actually be more advanced than we are being told.

For those unfamiliar with this type of technology, I highly recommend doing your own research before jumping to any conclusions as to the capabilities (or lack of capabilities) inherent in this type of psychotronic weaponry.

A good resource which covers many different incarnations of this technology across both declassified government and commercial applications can be found here and other resources on psychotronic weaponry can be found here.

One project we know about is the Army’s Mob Excess Deterrent Using Silent Audio, or MEDUSA. This project utilized microwaves to make the target believe that the projected audio was actually coming from inside their own head.

As New Scientist reported in 2008, the technology is actually capable of projecting a microwave beam which creates sound so “loud” that it actually can incapacitate the target or cause severe discomfort.

Furthermore, since the sound does not actually enter through the eardrums like normal auditory stimuli, there are no “audio safety limits” as there would be normally.

Lev Sadovnik of the United States’ Sierra Nevada Corporation worked on the system and said, “The repel effect is a combination of loudness and the irritation factor. You can’t block it out.”

The Phase I summary report released by the U.S. Navy indicated that the program was indeed successful, but for some reason Noah Schachtman writes for Danger Room, “Neither program [referring to the MEDUSA and the “Voice of God” program], as far as I know, ever left the laboratory.”

However, I must point out that it is quite arrogant and ignorant of Schachtman to think that his lack of knowledge concerning the projects being used in the field says anything about if the devices were or are going to be used.

As I discussed in the first episode of End the Lie Radio, during which we explored some excerpts from Nick Begich’s “Earth Rising: the Revolution, Toward a Thousand Years of Peace,” this technology is not something which has just cropped up in the last few years; indeed it has been in the works for over a decade. You can listen to the episode via YouTube below:

What the public knows in regards to classified, highly advanced military technology is minimal at best. For evidence of this, all we have to do is look at projects like the Manhattan Project, Project MKULTRA (about which we still know very little), and the SR-71 “Blackbird” which was first used in the U.S. Air Force in the 1960s.

“Battlefield Illusion” is not alone among the mind-bending projects DARPA is spending our money on. Indeed they have several new programs intended to manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum for military purposes including the $3.5 million “Electro-Optical Warfare” project which will attempt to find ways to disrupt laser-based communications and sensors.

The American public (which is obviously footing the bill for these projects) is often never even made aware of their existence for decades after their inception. I, for one, find this to be quite troubling and frustrating, seeing as our government thinks we do not have a right to know where our money is going, especially when the technology can be used against us.
Given the government of the United States’ propensity for repurposing military technology for use domestically against civilians, I see no reason to believe that technology like these “battlefield illusions” would not be used against us.

All we can do is hope that the costs for these technologies remain sufficiently prohibitive in order to keep the government from widely using this technology, as they’re going to be able to do with the $50 spy computer known as the F-BOMB, also funded by DARPA.

I just find it somewhat insane to think that with the total lack of funds available and the disastrous state of the economy in the United States and around the globe, our government is spending money on mind control instead of housing and feeding impoverished Americans.

Unless the American people stand up and start demanding that our needs be met with the immense amount of money we pour into the government (most of which ends up in the hands of the criminal banksters and war profiteers), we can expect to see this type of frivolous spending continue indefinitely.

Project Blue Beam Exposed! (UPDATED)

by Secret Sun

Anyone who spends anytime looking into the UFO phenomena has probably seen the words "Project Blue Beam" - often misspelled - show up when any aerial anomalies are being discussed online.

"Blue Beam" has become such a catch-all that it's now applied to any sighting, no matter how trivial. It's also been stretched to explain phenomena that have nothing to do with UFOs at all. You often see it conflated with HAARP, a very real program that's also been stretched to explain anything that might otherwise require actual thought to deal with.

We saw any number of claims that the balloon show on October 13 was itself the work of this mythical Blue Beam, even though the event itself has little to do with the claims of the original "Project Blue Beam" essay, which was published online by the radical Fundamentalist and Quebec separatist Serge Monast. "Blue Beam" has been dated to 1994, but I don't remember hearing anything about it until at least 1996, when Monast died of an apparent heart attack. But 1994 is very, very important to the chain of events we're going to look at in this piece.

UFOs and the National Security State author Richard Dolan got so sick of hearing about the mythical Project Blue Beam that he wrote a scathing essay entitled "Project Blue Beam Countdown? Don't Bet on It" in the run-up to an alleged Blue Beam event on October 13. In it, Dolan outlined the claims made in Monast's original essay:
First, a series of artificially created earthquakes at "certain precise locations on the planet," which will uncover archaeological evidence that will "be used to discredit all fundamental religious doctrines."

Second, we will be subjected to "a gigantic space show." This will involve "three-dimensional optical holograms and sounds, laser projection of multiple holographic images to different parts of the world, each receiving a different image according to predominating regional national religious faith. This new ‘god's’ voice will be speaking in all languages.” These staged events will show the "new Christ" or Messiah, and will be a false Second Coming.

Third will be the "Telepathic Electronic Two-Way." This involves "telepathic and electronically augmented two-way communication where ELF, VLF and LF waves will reach each person from within his or her own mind." These communications will fake a communication from god.

Fourth, according to Monast, would be "the universal supernatural manifestation with electronic means." He said it would take on three specific "orientations." One would simulate an alien invasion, which would then provoke nations with nuclear weapons to strike back.
Dolan quoted extensively from Monast's writings so that reasonable individuals could get a measure of the man and the extremist religious views that dictated his view of world events:
I included this long passage just so that you could get a whiff of the mind of this man. Very intense, no understanding of science. At no point in any of Monast's writings is anything like evidence offered for any of this. To say nothing of the fantastic capabilities he attributes to NASA or the United Nations.
The logistics of the various sky shows also seems daunting, to say the least. First there is the false alien invasion scenario -- presumably this could be done with a fleet of black triangles, although could they blanket the world? Doubtful. But then, regarding the religious fakery, are "they" really going to blanket the world with holographic images of, what -- God? Jesus? Krishna? Allah? All the while sending a message into our brains via extra low frequencies in all languages of the world? All in a way that convinces us to abandon our previously held faiths?
What Dolan may not have realized it is that Monast - rather, the mischeivous spooks who fed him the whole Blue Beam scenario in the first place - was/were borrowing plots points left, right and center from another source.

We'll get to that in a moment, but first Dolan took the time to dismiss most of the current Blue Beam theorizing as regurgitated bullshit:
None of these sites offer anything resembling evidence to support the alleged existence of Blue Beam. I am not asking for proof, only evidence. And I see nothing.
Well, there is evidence of Blue Beam, only it comes from a source one would never confuse with Jane's Defence Weekly or Covert Action Quarterly. For some deep background on all of this alleged devilry, let's travel back to 1994.

RECYCLED STAR TREK SCRIPTS

Not long before Serge Monast stunned the conspiracy circuit with his "Project Blue Beam," a book was released on Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry. It recounted information that hardcore Trekkers were well familiar with; Roddenberry's proposed Star Trek feature film script from the mid-70s:
"In May 1975, Gene Roddenberry accepted an offer from Paramount to develop Star Trek into a feature film, and moved back into his old office on the Paramount lot. His proposed story told of a flying saucer, hovering above Earth, that was programmed to send down people who looked like prophets, including Jesus Christ.

Shortly thereafter, Monast writes of a very similar situation- a satellite that will project images of holy figures:
With computer animation and sounds appearing to emanate from the very depths of space, astonished ardent followers of the various creeds will witness their own returned messiahs in convincing lifelike reality.

Then the projections of Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc., will merge into one after correct explanations of the mysteries and revelations will have been disclosed.
So, already we see two of Monast's Blue Beam claims - an alien "invasion" and a false reappearance of the Earth's major historical prophets - taken straight out of the Star Trek script.

How are these images of these gods to be received? In both cases, telepathically.
Monast again, 1994: The advancement of techniques propel us toward the third step in the Blue Beam Project that goes along with the telepathic and electronically augmented two-way communication where ELF, VLF and LF waves will reach each person from within his or her own mind, convincing each of them that their own god is speaking to them from the very depths of their own soul.
Roddenberry, 1976: "On the planet below, people are beginning to receive mental impressions of a returning God."
The projected images are only part of Blue Beam; there's also the "massive UFO invasion." Note: Monast's "UFO over every major city" scenario is stolen from the original V (1983), which in turn was borrowed from Roddenberry's original 70s script for Earth: Final Conflict.:
Monast, 1994: "The first is the 'space show.' Where does the space show come from? The space show, the holographic images will be used in a simulation of the ending during which all nations will be shown scenes that will be the fulfillment of that which they desire to verify the prophecies and adversary events.

"One is to make mankind believe that an alien (off-world) invasion is about to occur at every major city on earth in order to provoke each major nation to use its nuclear weapons in order to strike back."

Roddenberry, 1976: "At the same time a huge object, one thousand times larger than a starship, is moving toward Earth, knocking off the U.S.S. Potemkin and hurtling a cluster of asteroids toward Earth. Kirk, now a grounded admiral, assembles his old crew (all of whom have risen higher in rank), and they take the newly refitted Enterprise on a mission of interception with the alien claiming to be God."

The whole point of all of this is to convince the world that these computers on these orbital platforms are the work of God, but it's all a grand deception. In both cases:
Monast, 1994: The result of these deliberately staged events will be to show the world the new 'christ,' the new messiah, Matraia (Maitreya), for the immediate implementation of the new world religion. Enough truth will be foisted upon an unsuspecting world to hook them into the lie. "Even the most learned will be deceived."

Roddenberry, 1976: "The Object turns out to be more than just a vessel--it is a computer form so advanced it is a living entity itself. However, we discover that this God they've worshipped is actually the Deceiver, the computer-programmed remains of a race who were "cast out" from their dimension and into this one."

Roddenberry quotes taken from The Making of Star Trek-The Motion Picture, by Susan Sackett and Gene Roddenberry, Pocket/Wallaby, 1980
So again, Monast's Blue Beam is essentially the same as Roddenberry's "God Thing." Both are computer programs on orbital platforms creating electronic visions and apparitions, tailor-made to the beliefs of certain populations. The difference is that Monast chalks it all up to NASA while Roddenberry was describing a malfunctioning alien craft:

Monast, 1994: "Computers will coordinate the satellites and software already in place will run the sky show. Holographic images are based on nearly identical signals combining to produce an image or hologram with deep perspective which is equally applicable to acoustic ELF, VLF and LF waves and optical phenomena."

Roddenberry:
"Somewhere out there," [Gene] starts off, his eyes widening as he continues, "there's this massive ... entity, this abstract, unknown life force that seems mechanical in nature, although it actually possesses its own highly advanced consciousness. It's a force thousands of times greater than anything intergalactic civilization has ever witnessed. It could be God, it could be Satan, and it's heading toward earth. It demands worship and assistance, and it's also in a highly volatile state of disrepair."

Star Trek Movie Memories by William Shatner with Chris Kreski, HarperCollins, 1994 (note publication date)
Themes from Roddenberry's unused script were recycled throughout the franchise's history, including the ST: TNG episode "Justice" and the now-notorious Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. Then there was the Next Generation episode, "Devil's Due," which was one of the highest rated episode's in the series history.

This episode, which ran in 1991, had even stronger echoes of Monast's 1994 "Blue Beam" theories. Here's the synopsis:
The USS Enterprise-D responds to a distress signal from a science station on Ventax II, where the planet is in chaos over the return of a being who claims to be that culture's "devil."
Not coincidentally, that devil is there to install a new world order on the alien planet. Which brings us to Monast's "Blue Beam" denouement:
The second is to make the Christians believe that the Rapture is going to occur with the supposed divine intervention of an alien (off-world) civilization coming to rescue earthlings from a savage and merciless demon. Its goal will be to dispose of all significant opposition to the implementation of the New World Order in one major stroke, actually within hours of the beginning of the sky show!
Again, this is the same scenario we see before in "Devil's Due," which is based in themes Roddenberry first explored in his God Thing script. The parallels continue: Monast writes in Blue Beam that "the first step in the NASA Blue Beam Project concerns the breakdown [re-evaluation] of all archaeological knowledge. It deals with the set-up, with artificially created earthquakes at certain precise locations on the planet."

Monast's 1994 claims of a "supposed divine intervention of an alien (off-world) civilization coming to rescue earthlings from a savage and merciless demon" is exactly what we see in 1991 in "Devil's Due." And the earthquakes? :
"In fact, it is soon learned from Jared that a mob is holding the rest of the science team hostage, claiming prophecies have come true: a shaking of the cities caused by minor earthquakes, and many visions of her have been seen."
Watching "Devil's Due," it becomes more and more difficult to discount the parallels between it and the Blue Beam theories:
Monast: The Blue Beam Project will pretend to be the universal fulfillment of the prophecies of old, as major an event as that which occurred 2,000 years ago. In principle, it will make use of the skies as a movie screen (on the sodium layer at about 60 miles) as space-based laser-generating satellites project simultaneous images to the four corners of the planet in every language and dialect according to the region. It deals with the religious aspect of the new world order and is deception and seduction on a massive scale.
In "Devil's Due," Ardra uses the same technology- holograms (including making "use of the skies" to hide the orbiting Enterprise), projections and artificial earthquakes, etc to convince the Ventaxians that she has come to fulfill their prophecies.
"According to the legend, Ardra made a deal with the Ventaxians 1,000 years prior: a millennium of peace and tranquility, the end of war, poverty and famine which at that time plagued Ventax II; in exchange she would lay claim to the planet and enslave its inhabitants upon her return."

As with Blue Beam, Ardra can present herself as different figures, using holographic technology:
When Picard beams down to the planet to try and stabilize the situation, Ardra herself appears before him. She claims to be a manifestation of evil in all cultures, showing great power with "supernatural" abilities, such as showing her devilish form off in the form of Fek'lhr.
Again, Monast claims that the whole show will be conducted from computers stored on hidden satellites:
"Computers will coordinate the satellites and software already in place will run the sky show. Holographic images are based on nearly identical signals combining to produce an image or hologram with deep perspective which is equally applicable to acoustic ELF, VLF and LF waves and optical phenomena. Specifically, the show will consist of multiple holographic images to different parts of the world, each receiving a different image according to the specific national, regional religion. Not a single area will be excluded. With computer animation and sounds appearing to emanate from the very depths of space, astonished ardent followers of the various creeds will witness their own returned messiahs in convincing lifelike reality."
And of course this is the same exact situation we see three years prior to the release of "Project Blue Beam":
During her testimony, Ardra argues her case by demonstrating her various "powers". This gives Geordi La Forge a location of the power source: a ship in orbit above the western magnetic pole (hidden from sensors).

La Forge informs Picard during a recess that he has identified the ship. By the time the recess ends and Picard further questions Jared, Ardra's ship is in his control...and he manages to use her ship's powers to perform all of her tricks. Using the data from her ship's computer, he explains that she is a sector-wide flim-flam artist, who was about to win the largest prize of her career.

He explains that her "powers" were nothing more than a combination of force field projection, holography, and transporter effects, all controlled by implants that allow her eyes to control the illusions.
Information on this story linking it to Roddenberry's earlier plans for the Star Trek feature film and TV series was published in 1992:
This episode was originally written as an episode for the unproduced series, Star Trek: Phase II. In the Phase II script, set on the planet Neuterra, Kirk was the arbiter for the people and the Enterprise computer was the judge. The Ardra entity was a male being called Komether. (Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion)

And though it's not generally linked to the aborted feature film, we see similar aliens imitating deities in Star Trek V:
Sybok and many of his followers believe they have found heaven, and Sybok takes a shuttle down to the planet's surface with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. There they encounter a mystical being who introduces himself as God, and asks them to bring their starship closer to him so that he can "join" with it.

Though Sybok is convinced, Kirk immediately smells a rat: "Excuse me, what does God need with a starship?" The being is enraged at Kirk's refusal to cooperate, attacking him and Spock, who supports his captain. Disillusioned by the fake God and angry at himself for putting everyone in danger, Sybok sacrifices himself to buy the others time to escape.
  • So in conclusion, all of the major claims made by Monast concerning "Project Blue Beam" have direct and well-documented antecedents in Star Trek, dating back to 1976.
  • Much of the information on Roddenberry's aborted Star Trek movie script was released in several different books in 1994- the same year that "Project Blue Beam" was allegedly published.

That's much too much of a synchronicity for my liking.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE SPOOKS

Being familiar with how the intelligence agencies use the conspiracy media to disseminate false information, I'd say that "Project Blue Beam" could well have been a disinfo project fed to Monast and possibly others as part as an overall campaign. I doubt most of it is actually his research (apart from the religious editorializing) and there's enough verifiable (yet only tangentially connected) information tossed in to give it an air of credibility. Religious hysterics like Monast obviously never need real evidence to buy into a juicy theory, so the original authors didn't need bother making any up.

There's your "blue beam."

Even so, there are a few in-jokes that seem like Monast's ghost writers were having a laugh: Star Trek and a "tractor beam" (a term first heard on ST) are mentioned, as a well as an article titled "The New Mental Battlefield: Beam Me Up, Spock." This is exactly the kind of nod-and-wink that leads me to believe that "Blue Beam" could well have been cobbled together by a bunch of spooks - who just happened to be Trekkers - and then fed to Monast for distribution.

Dolan knows this world better than anybody and what he says is dead on- "Project Blue Beam" isn't supported by a shred of evidence, never mind proof. It doesn't make a drop of sense. We've debunked all of the crapola about "Lord Maitreya" and the "New Age One World Religion" (which Monast opens his essay with), and we're seeing Monast's own religious beliefs being championed and bankrolled by Communist China, no less. Needless to say none of that lends any weight to "Blue Beam's" already shaky credibility. Will any of this dissuade most of the Blue Beam aficianados out there in Cyberspace?

I have absolutely no doubt that it will not.

UPDATE: Richard Dolan checks in:
Outstanding article and analysis. I used to watch Star Trek the Next Generation back in the day, but had completely forgotten those episodes. All of us are greatly indebted to you for shedding light on this topic.

I think we can all agree that 'false flag' operations can and do occur. But no theory is allowed to be impervious to evidence, otherwise we are led to sensationalism and fear-mongering.

The possibility that Monast was fed these ideas by the intel community is surely something to consider. But I still think it's just as likely that Monast himself cooked this up out of his fevered imagination. I'm just not sure.

But the main connection to the Star Trek mythos.... I think there is no question that you nailed this one.

Great job!
UPDATE: Lesley Gunter syncs up with the Sun with a simultaneous column on "Blue Beam":
Anyhow, I do think there is a conspiracy, but it is the reverse. It is the comment about Bluebird that put that idea in my head. If there is a conspiracy, it is that people are purposely spreading the lie of Blue Beam so that if some big UFO event does ever happen (not likely an invasion), they can have people believe it was Blue Beam and not real UFOs.
I couldn't have said it better myself, Lesley!

UPDATE: The state of the art for hologram technology circa 2010? A 17-inch screen. The skies will have to wait.

UPDATE 4/24/11: The author of the RationalWiki Blue Beam entry is deceiving you as to the source of the Star Trek/Blue Beam expose. I didn't "notice" it too - I discovered it and published it first. "Skeptics" (the phony kind, like that pedantic pedagogue Randi) are the moral equivalent of Fundamentalists like Monast, so I'm not surprised at all by the deception.

The 10 Inventions of Nikola Tesla That Changed The World

Ere many generations pass, our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point of the universe. Throughout space there is energy. -- Nikola Tesla, 1892

Activist Post

Nikola Tesla is finally beginning to attract real attention and encourage serious debate nearly 70 years after his death. Was he for real? A crackpot? Part of an early experiment in corporate-government control?

We know that he was undoubtedly persecuted by the energy power brokers of his day -- namely Thomas Edison, whom we are taught in school to revere as a genius. He was also attacked by J.P. Morgan and other "captains of industry." Upon Tesla's death on January 7th, 1943, the U.S. government moved into his lab and apartment confiscating all of his scientific research, and to this day none of this research has been made public.

Besides his persecution by corporate-government interests (which is practically a certification of authenticity), there is at least one solid indication of Nikola Tesla's integrity -- he tore up a contract with Westinghouse that was worth billions in order to save the company from paying him his huge royalty payments.

But, let's take a look at what Nikola Tesla -- a man who died broke and alone -- has actually given to the world. For better or worse, with credit or without, he changed the face of the planet in ways that perhaps no man ever has.

1. Alternating Current -- This is where it all began, and what ultimately caused such a stir at the 1893 World's Expo in Chicago. A war was leveled ever-after between the vision of Edison and the vision of Tesla for how electricity would be produced and distributed. The division can be summarized as one of cost and safety: The DC current that Edison (backed by General Electric) had been working on was costly over long distances, and produced dangerous sparking from the required converter (called a commutator). Regardless, Edison and his backers utilized the general "dangers" of electric current to instill fear in Tesla's alternative: Alternating Current. As proof, Edison sometimes electrocuted animals at demonstrations. Consequently, Edison gave the world the electric chair, while simultaneously maligning Tesla's attempt to offer safety at a lower cost. Tesla responded by demonstrating that AC was perfectly safe by famously shooting current through his own body to produce light. This Edison-Tesla (GE-Westinghouse) feud in 1893 was the culmination of over a decade of shady business deals, stolen ideas, and patent suppression that Edison and his moneyed interests wielded over Tesla's inventions. Yet, despite it all, it is Tesla's system that provides power generation and distribution to North America in our modern era.

2. Light -- Of course he didn't invent light itself, but he did invent how light can be harnessed and distributed. Tesla developed and used florescent bulbs in his lab some 40 years before industry "invented" them. At the World's Fair, Tesla took glass tubes and bent them into famous scientists' names, in effect creating the first neon signs. However, it is his Tesla Coil that might be the most impressive, and controversial. The Tesla Coil is certainly something that big industry would have liked to suppress: the concept that the Earth itself is a magnet that can generate electricity (electromagnetism) utilizing frequencies as a transmitter. All that is needed on the other end is the receiver -- much like a radio.

3. X-rays -- Electromagnetic and ionizing radiation was heavily researched in the late 1800s, but Tesla researched the entire gamut. Everything from a precursor to Kirlian photography, which has the ability to document life force, to what we now use in medical diagnostics, this was a transformative invention of which Tesla played a central role. X-rays, like so many of Tesla's contributions, stemmed from his belief that everything we need to understand the universe is virtually around us at all times, but we need to use our minds to develop real-world devices to augment our innate perception of existence.

4. Radio -- Guglielmo Marconi was initially credited, and most believe him to be the inventor of radio to this day. However, the Supreme Court overturned Marconi's patent in 1943, when it was proven that Tesla invented the radio years previous to Marconi. Radio signals are just another frequency that needs a transmitter and receiver, which Tesla also demonstrated in 1893 during a presentation before The National Electric Light Association. In 1897 Tesla applied for two patents US 645576, and US 649621. In 1904, however, The U.S. Patent Office reversed its decision, awarding Marconi a patent for the invention of radio, possibly influenced by Marconi's financial backers in the States, who included Thomas Edison and Andrew Carnegie. This also allowed the U.S. government (among others) to avoid having to pay the royalties that were being claimed by Tesla.

5. Remote Control -- This invention was a natural outcropping of radio. Patent No. 613809 was the first remote controlled model boat, demonstrated in 1898. Utilizing several large batteries; radio signals controlled switches, which then energized the boat's propeller, rudder, and scaled-down running lights. While this exact technology was not widely used for some time, we now can see the power that was appropriated by the military in its pursuit of remote controlled war. Radio controlled tanks were introduced by the Germans in WWII, and developments in this realm have since slid quickly away from the direction of human freedom.

6. Electric Motor -- Tesla's invention of the electric motor has finally been popularized by a car brandishing his name. While the technical specifications are beyond the scope of this summary, suffice to say that Tesla's invention of a motor with rotating magnetic fields could have freed mankind much sooner from the stranglehold of Big Oil. However, his invention in 1930 succumbed to the economic crisis and the world war that followed. Nevertheless, this invention has fundamentally changed the landscape of what we now take for granted: industrial fans, household applicances, water pumps, machine tools, power tools, disk drives, electric wristwatches and compressors.

7. Robotics -- Tesla's overly enhanced scientific mind led him to the idea that all living beings are merely driven by external impulses. He stated: "I have by every thought and act of mine, demonstrated, and does so daily, to my absolute satisfaction that I am an automaton endowed with power of movement, which merely responds to external stimuli." Thus, the concept of the robot was born. However, an element of the human remained present, as Tesla asserted that these human replicas should have limitations -- namely growth and propagation. Nevertheless, Tesla unabashedly embraced all of what intelligence could produce. His visions for a future filled with intelligent cars, robotic human companions, and the use of sensors, and autonomous systems are detailed in a must-read entry in the Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2006 (PDF).

8. Laser -- Tesla's invention of the laser may be one of the best examples of the good and evil bound up together within the mind of man. Lasers have transformed surgical applications in an undeniably beneficial way, and they have given rise to much of our current digital media. However, with this leap in innovation we have also crossed into the land of science fiction. From Regan's "Star Wars" laser defense system to today's Orwellian "non-lethal" weapons' arsenal, which includes laser rifles and directed energy "death rays," there is great potential for development in both directions.

9 and 10. Communications and Limitless Free Energy -- These two are inextricably linked, as they were the last straw for the power elite -- what good is energy if it can't be metered and controlled? Free? Never. J.P. Morgan backed Tesla with $150,000 to build a tower that would use the natural frequencies of our universe to transmit data, including a wide range of information communicated through images, voice messages, and text. This represented the world's first wireless communications, but it also meant that aside from the cost of the tower itself, the universe was filled with free energy that could be utilized to form a world wide web connecting all people in all places, as well as allow people to harness the free energy around them. Essentially, the 0's and 1's of the universe are embedded in the fabric of existence for each of us to access as needed. Nikola Tesla was dedicated to empowering the individual to receive and transmit this data virtually free of charge. But we know the ending to that story . . . until now?

Tesla had perhaps thousands of other ideas and inventions that remain unreleased. A look at his hundreds of patents shows a glimpse of the scope he intended to offer. If you feel that the additional technical and scientific research of Nikola Tesla should be revealed for public scrutiny and discussion, instead of suppressed by big industry and even our supposed institutions of higher education, please sign this petition to demand that power brokers everywhere learn that we are ready to Occupy Energy and learn about what our universe really has to offer.

The release of Nikola Tesla's technical and scientific research -- specifically his research into harnessing electricity from the ionosphere at a facility called Wardenclyffe -- is a necessary step toward true freedom of information. The petition has a goal of 25,000 signatures and is very nearly there, but even if reached by the time of this reading, please continue to add your voice by sharing this information with as many people as possible.

A Facebook event page for the official call on January 7th, the anniversary of Tesla's death, can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=311216412237332

For additional information about the demand for release, please visit: http://releaseteslasresearch.weebly.com/

As they state:
Tell your friends, bring it up and discuss it at your next general assembly, do whatever you can to get the word out, organize locally to make a stand for the release of Nikola Tesla's research.... America is tired of corrupt corporate greed, supported by The American government, holding us back in a stagnant society in the name of profit . . . The Energy Crisis is a lie.
As an aside: there are some who have pointed out that Tesla's experimentation with the ionosphere very well could have caused the massive explosion over Tunguska, Siberia in 1908, which leveled an estimated 60 million trees over 2,150 square kilometers, and may even have led to the much maligned HAARP technology. I submit that we would do well to remember that technology is never the true enemy; it is the misuse of technology that can enslave rather than free mankind from its animal-level survivalism.

Please view the video below, which does an excellent job at personalizing this largely forgotten human being, as well as show the reasons why to this day he is not a household name.

And here is a video that offers an essential alternative view of ancient Egypt and other cultures that employed pyramidal structures, which suggests the staggering outer limits of what Tesla was attempting to harness and offer to humanity:
