...The owners of Baxter International, Ralph Falk and Marian Falk were very selfish, and abusive parents. They disowned their daughter Carol at age 13. Carol Falk had a dreadful and abusive childhood, which nowadays would be viewed as extensive physchological and physicial child abuse. Carol Falk was a pretty child. Marian Falk put her on a starvation diet and began a nightly ritual of weighing the little girl
on a bathroom scale. Mrs. Falk read off the weight reflected on the scale and made Carol's small meal portions even smaller. Carol said she got small, tiny birdlike portions and I "was instructed to leave a little on my plate." Hunger drove her to steal food in the house. Denied food and affection for much of her life, she confused the two. As a small child she hung her head in public, and began sneaking food
from the kitchen. She stole small coins around the house that wouldn't be missed in order to herself food and treats. She was caught stealing small coins for food and for her punishment, her mother, Marian Falk, washed out her mouth with soap and cut her hair short to demean her in public.

Habitually made ashamed of her body by her mother, Marian Falk, Carol flunked gym because she was embarrassed to shower in front of girls. At age 13 she ran away from the abusive home and became a prostitute. She was later found, and sent away to a private high school on the other side of the United States - in Tacoma, Washington. The Ralph Falk family lived in Chicago, Illinois. Baxter International's home address is Deerfield, Illinois. Frightened, and cast off by her family
for being slightly pudgy, she was shipped off to a school out of state at age 13 to get rid of her. Carol took another girls' blouse and ran away from the school. She spent two weeks with a fry cook at an eatery and exchanged sex for a place to stay. To her, this was just one more horrendous episode in a totally unloved life. Her parents (if one dare even giving them that honorable title), thought it was time, at age
14, to denounce the daughter they had abused and never loved. Carol never lived with them again for any extended period after that, and was instead shipped off to homes for emotionally disturbed children, fat farms and a mental asylum, where she was kept chained to a bed...
